AnnouncementsHelp Local Children Go to School! Christian Outreach will be collecting school supplies for five 6th graders at Hackettstown Middle School. If you can donate items please sign up on the chart in Fellowship Hall (bulletin board by water fountain). We will distribute supplies to the children before September. Many of the items go on sale at Staples, the grocery stores, or the drug stores during the summer. Thank-you!!
Vacation Bible School
Loose Offering Sunday
The loose offering (non-pledged contributions) on the last Sunday of each month will be added to our Pastor's Discretionary Fund. Should you want to make a special donation toward this effort- This Sunday is your opportunity. A Moveable Feast On Saturday, July 31 at 5pm, our church will be holding a progressive dinner. Dance cards have been mailed to participants to let you know who's house to go to for the Appetizer course, the Dinner course, and then all will meet back at the church for dessert. We still have room for 4 more people to join us; please see Pastor David or call Erika in the office if you would like to attend! We hope you will join us for this unique experience in fellowship!
Book Club
The next meeting of the PVEC Book Club will be Tuesday, July 27, 7pm at the Dougherty's house (53 East Ave, Hackettstown) . We will wrap up our discussion of Mere Christianity and we will also be finding out what the next book will be! We hope you will join us! Babysitting Available During Worship We have free babysitting available in the nursery for children infants to age 2 during worship services. (Children 3 and over are invited to attend church school during worship) Our new babysitter is a Sussex County College student named Christina Medina. She will be here every Sunday. Please spread the word to those you know with small children! Idea BoxT he Worship Commission has established an “Idea Box” for communication from the congregation concerning feedback on current worship practices and ideas for new things you would like to see us try. So let us know your thoughts. The box is in the shape of a church and is labeled “Idea Box” and located in the narthex.Bring a Friend to ChurchThe Church Growth & Fellowship Commission proudly announces that the last Sunday of every month will be "Bring a Friend to Church" Sunday. Make sure to bring a friend with you to show them all the exciting things that are happening here at PVEC. Take them on a tour of our church and show off our classrooms! Introduce them to our church family during coffee hour and make them feel welcome. Supermarket Gift Card ProgramEach Sunday you read about how many gift cards we sold the previous week. It’s very easy to take part in this fundraiser! It doesn't cost you a dime and the church makes 5% for every dollar you spend. Hey, that’s $5 for every hundred, $10 for every $200, etc. If more people would only try it, you’ll see just how easy it is! The gift cards are available, before and after worship and you can call the church office during the week to get them as well. Please - we need more people to participate - won’t you give it a try?!
